DROPS Fabel is as solid as only a sock yarn can be, it is a superwash treated 4-strand yarn: easy to maintain, it can be machine washed. Compared to other classic sock yarns, DROPS Fabel is spun in a softer wool quality, which makes it fantastic for the whole year, and thus adapted to many more projects than socks - try it for the layette!
DROPS Fabel is appreciated for its softness and resistance, which makes it ideal for socks, but also for other projects such as hats, gloves, scarves and accessories.
DROPS Fabel is one of the largest color palettes in the DROPS range, available in 3 different types: "uni color": a range of solid colors; "print": each shade consists of several colors that are repeated regularly; and "long print": similar to "print" colors but the series of each color are longer.
DROPS Fabel and its "print" and "long print" versions are produced with a method called "fancy dyeing", which, unlike other methods, can give small differences in both pattern and shade within the same bath. This is not a mistake but only one of the characteristics of this wool.
DROPS Fabel and the samples knitted in the different colors and presented below were knitted with little stitches, as for socks. If you knit a larger work, the colors will look different. As with all jacquard prints, there may be differences in color shades and pattern within the same batch.
